This piece is created by starting with reclaimed wood. The wood was carved and shaped to create three similiarly sized "disc" shapes. These discs were sanded and then a light ebony stain was applied. Finally a layer of poly was added to bring out the shine. The wood grain and knots pop out from this piece. The pieces are attached with small metal rod at various angles making the piece look different as you look around it. It has some wild flow and movement. Finally, a clean and simply black wooded base was added.
NOTE: The plinth is not included in the purchase and was used just for the photograph.
