L0126

A cluster of tall, slender columns of reclaimed timber rises from floor to ceiling, pressed close together like a stand of trees or the pipes of an old organ. Each length keeps its history: knots, nail holes, weathered grain, and the warm, lightly stained glow of wood that has lived a long time before arriving here. Narrow seams of shadow run between the columns, giving the piece a quiet vertical rhythm.

Within the hollow of the piece, light lives. LEDs trace the inside of the form and spill through the gaps, washing the wood in a slow, shifting spectrum. Tuned to sound, the glow can pulse and travel with the beat of music, so a still, grounded form begins to breathe and respond to the room. Open at the back and made to rest against a wall, the piece becomes a source of ambient light, casting color across the surface behind it like a halo.

The tension between old and new gives L0126 its sophistication. Rough, honest material meets precise, luminous technology, and neither overpowers the other. It reads as refined without being polished, and natural without being rustic.

Equal parts sculpture, instrument, and atmosphere, it anchors a space by day and transforms it by night, changing with every hour, every mood, and every song.
